Cable Detection EZiTRACE Signal Generator Product Information

Dual Frequency Signal Generator. Designed in conjunction with the EZiCAT locator, to easily and accurately trace the route of, or locate, an underground cable or metal pipe that does not carry a naturally present signal. The EZiTRACE generates a specific "active" signal, which can then be traced using the EZiCAT. Enclosed in a high impact structural polypropylene case, the EZiTRACE is a tough piece of equipment built to last on the rough construction environment.

Using the EZiTRACE

Direct Connection

Connect the EZiTRACE to a conductive service such as a valve, junction box or other access point.

Signal Clamp Connection

A Signal Clamp is used to apply the EZiTRACE signal to an insulated electricity cable. Supply is not interrupted by the signal and the operator is not exposed to any live services, such as a valve, junction box or other access point.

Induction

The EZiTRACE induces a tracing signal into the buried service. This is a quick and convenient method when direct connection or signal clamping is not possible.
